Day of Japanese culture in Prague 🇯🇵✨
We invite you to a full-day program in the heart of Prague! Experience a unique combination of traditional art, music, dance and theater under one roof.
📍 Venue: Mariánské náměstí 1, Prague 1 (City Library)
🕒 AFTERNOON PROGRAM (1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m.)
Workshops & Exhibition (FREE) 🆓
Japanese calligraphy & origami – (13:00-17:00) try traditional art. 🖌️📐
Koto game (13:00-15:00) – workshop led by Japanese players. 🎶
Exhibition - works by artists Fantasisita Mayumi, Aya Marray and Shiho Seto. 🎨
Martial arts (15:00 - 17:00) - demonstration and workshop of traditional Japanese fencing right in the space. Limited number of people, registration on site. ⚔️
Puppet theater (14:30–15:30) 🎭
The world-renowned puppeteer Noriyuki Sawa will present his original theater for children and adults.

🌙 EVENING CONCERT (from 18:30) 🎶
A unique ensemble of Japanese instruments (koto, shamisen, shakuhachi), which has no parallels in Europe. Six compositions by leading authors accompanied by Jiuta-mai dance and dynamic Kenbu fencing.
