We cordially invite you to a special screening of the full-length French documentary film "The Sky and the Ice" (La glace et le ciel). The event takes place on the occasion of United Nations Day on October 24 from 4:00 p.m. in Cinema 35 of the French Institute in Prague, Štěpánská 644/35.

Oscar director Luc Jacquet describes in the film a series of adventurous expeditions of the French glaciologist Claude Lorius (1932-2023) in Antarctica. Lorius' research helped prove that humanity is responsible for global warming.

You are cordially invited to a special film screening of the French feature documentary "Ice and the Sky" (La glace et le ciel). The event is organized to mark United Nations Day: October 24th, from 4:00 PM at Kino 35, French Institute in Prague, Štěpánská 644/35.

Oscar-winning director Luc Jacquet portrays a series of adventurous expeditions to Antarctica led by French glaciologist Claude Lorius (1932–2023). Lorius' research helped prove that global warming is caused by human activity.

Following the screening, a discussion with young experts will focus on topics from the September Summit of the Future at the UN Headquarters in New York, including the need to adapt the system of international cooperation to the realities of today's world and future challenges.
