About event
🟡 The traditional event Slovak Film Week is consolidating!
Slovak Film Day 2024 on May 12, 2026 will offer a concentrated space for the presentation of expert critical reflection on last year's Slovak cinematography as well as a space for discussion with the audience.
On the occasion of Slovak Film Day 2026, we present selected films that will be analyzed in their contributions by invited authors, as well as films nominated for the national film awards Sun in the Network 2026. Several of the films won awards, others were highlighted by expert film critics as being of exceptional quality. We present feature films in a unique combination with short films that are related to feature films thematically, narratively or through visual motifs, and thus enable the audience to get an overview of films that do not normally reach cinema distribution.
