About event
On Thursday, November 7, 2024, the Bratislava self-governing region will once again present its schools in one place. Almost 50 county high schools and gymnasiums will be available from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Bory Mall shopping and entertainment center in Bratislava Lamač. The popular event Day of County Schools is being organized by BSK for the 13th time.
"I would like to appeal to parents. Really pay enough attention to choosing a high school. Take into account whether the child is more theoretically or technically proficient, what he likes and what he has the prerequisites for. Gymnasium is not always the right choice. Likewise, when submitting an application, I recommend not to give four gymnasiums, but also vocational or professional schools, from which it is also possible to continue to university. However, the craft in hand will be a benefit. I consider it important that young people not only know how to get a job after school, but that they also enjoy their future profession," said the chairman of BSK Juraj Droba.
Day of county schools in Bory Mall is intended for 8th and 9th graders .grades of elementary schools, as well as to enthusiastic teachers, pedagogical advisors, parents, but also to the general public. The aim is to get to know the secondary schools more closely, to find their way around the offer and to enable pupils to choose the right school as easily as possible.
In addition to the information stands of the individual schools, an accompanying program will also be prepared on the stage, where visitors will learn information about schools, fields of education, study opportunities or school achievements. Pupils will present examples of music, dance and singing performances, tying bouquets and sports activities.
"The demand for graduates of secondary vocational schools is great, some pupils even find their future profession during their studies or start their own company. . Therefore, step by step, we invest in secondary schools and transform them into more modern and attractive ones. Thanks to this, the interest in secondary vocational schools is continuously growing," added Juraj Droba.
