About event
We will welcome the 19th edition of the classic Bystrica "depeška" for the first time in Záhrad.
Black Celebration, DM Party, or popularly called "depeška" has a rich tradition in Banská Bystrica. The previous eighteen editions were visited by hundreds of fans of this legendary band and music from all over Slovakia. The music of Depeche Mode and songs of a similar genre have always been an integral part of a good party, but the performance of a musical guest was also a tradition. In addition to great DM revival and tribute bands, Slovak synth pop legends such as MonteRosa and The Silence also performed on stage.
This year, the organizers decided to invite young blood in the waves of "old music". Erik Šulc is known as the singer and founder of the band Medial Banana. In his solo work, however, he devotes himself to synth and indie pop, where his love for the music of the 80s is fully manifested. In 2024, he released his debut album called Radiohood. Despite the English title, the album contains catchy songs in Slovak. Lukáš Zdurienčík, known under the name Blame Your Genes, also participated in the album as a producer, who usually accompanies Erik during live performances.
Before and after the concert, the popular DJ Škodis will traditionally accompany him in the evening. We look forward to it.
