About event
The internationally sought -after terrorism expert Peter R. Neumann and the multi -award -winning television journalist Richard C. Schneider have come together for a very interesting book project: "The death of democracy. The plan of right -wing populists - in Europe and the USA" (Rowohlt Berlin). Liberal democracy endanger. Their goal is to gradually hollow out the democratic institutions to enforce their own agenda: against migration, against the supposed "elites", for an authoritarian -ruled nation state in which the free legal system is increasingly being undermined. They specifically erode the trust in the liberal elements of the democratic system.
Peter R. Neumann and Richard C. Schneider have looked around in Hungary, France, the Netherlands, Italy and the USA. Your research shows how under a burning glass, which danger is also opposed to Germany. Last but not least, this book is an urgent warning: if we do not recognize what right-wing populists do in this country if democratic parties do not stand together and work together, then it could be too late to stop them.
