About event
In the Rehberge Volkspark and at Plötzensee we find natural monuments, landscape conservation areas, sand dunes, sports facilities and a wild bee meadow in a Berlin park and cultural landscape. Over the course of time, the landscape in the north of Berlin has been assigned different functions.
Several cemeteries of the Protestant churches such as the New St. Paul's Churchyard or the Heilandsgemeinde were created here.
The sand dunes from the turn of the 20th century in the north of Berlin are hardly recognizable today.
We also visit an extraordinary monument to the pioneers of electricity Emil and Walther Rathenau.
Meeting point: Tram line M13 terminus Virchow-Klinikum
City guide: Dr. Torsten Flüh
