The conversation takes place directly before the demonstration of the film "Pod Szarym Niebem/Under the Gray Sky" by Mara Tamkovich, in which the history of Belarusian journalist Kazjaryna Bachwalowa is told. The demonstration is part of the program of the Polish Film -Polska 2025 film festival.
The book "The White Singing" (Europa Verlag) published in 2022 tells the stories of ten Belarusian women who had to leave the country in Poland or Lithuania because of their active participation in the 2020 protest movement. Since the protests this year for the fifth time this year, the fate of the women portrayed in the book is to be discussed. Are you still politically active? How do you deal with the experiences of recent years? What does your life look like in exile?
