"I'm always unhappy. Only when I'm asleep, only then do I know about it."
How does a young city person lose his dreams when he has to integrate into an environment that is completely foreign to him? How do dreams turn into existential lies?🫀
The production focuses on the dialectical relationship between rural community thinking and urban individualism. It explores the mechanisms of belonging, which outwardly appear solid and idyllic, but in fact conceal loneliness, repressed conflicts, and emotional emptiness. The performance opens up questions of identity, the illusion of belonging and the price an individual pays for joining a collective. Here, the countryside is not an idealized space of peace, but a place of stagnation, ritual numbness and unarticulated tension. Urban individualism, on the other hand, does not manifest itself as moral superiority, but as a fragile state full of desires that disintegrate when confronted with reality. The production moves on the edge between dream and disillusionment, between the desire for closeness and the experience of deep loneliness.
