Adéla Holešová Substitutional events that accompany communication infrastructure. The installation consists of sub -components connected by piping, which acts as a carrier of information that permeates the surface in the form of shape and material gestures. Natural fluidity receives technological and material boundaries or, on the other hand, beyond. Pipeline Dreams transmits us under the surface, to the liminal underground passage. Normally invisible infrastructure is a decentralized interface of a communication and physical channel, whose rising content can be deciphered. The gargoyles ceased to blast, the liquid is present here in the form of visual messages - in places they repeat in places, react to each other, are permeable or hidden in muddy deposits. The technical character of this space is in contrast to the craft and symbolic value, which is acquired through individual objects. The installation reveals the dynamics of transmission that is never flawless - leaking connections, information is subject to communication noise, are ephemeral and loses their original shape. The underground pipeline is visible in places, elsewhere indicates even deeper hidden layers that we do not have access and which remain outside our control. Just as non -verbal communication triggers actions and reactions, and this process is acquired to its autonomy, pipeline Dreams makes layers of interaction, from the conscious ones to the entire system of processes that run below the surface.
