Explore drawing as a tool for personal expression. Under the guidance of designer Maria Špačková, you will turn designer ceramic mugs into original originals. You will draw with a pencil directly on the ceramic. Subsequent glazing and firing fix the drawing and give it a permanent form.
The workshop loosely follows on from William Kentridge's exhibition and his cycle Self-Portrait as a Coffee Pot, a film series in which the author reflects on the process of creation, drawing and the functioning of the studio as a space of thought through a dialogue with his alter egos.
Marie Špačková is a designer focused on working with ceramics and jewelry. In his work, he combines playfulness, experimentation and a feeling for the material, while working with simple gestures and their transfer to a physical object. The price of the workshop includes an author's mug by Maria Špačková. After firing, the mug will be ready for collection at the Kunsthalle Prague reception within 14 days.
