Dear little friends of books and stories,
Christmas is here at any moment and we invite you again to a place where things really come alive, especially before the holidays, and there are a lot of Christmas surprises hidden there. After all, we will not argue about the fact that the best Christmas gift is a good and beautiful book!
This time at the Children's Reading Room we will read from a book written long ago in Danish by Iboja Wandall-Holm, a Slovak living in Copenhagen and today the same Slovak woman wrote it in Slovak at the age of 101!
Moving is a terrible nuisance. You still have to get used to something new. Getting to know a new place, looking for new friends. However, twelve-year-old Anne is not lost. She has a younger sister, Lenka, who has a wild imagination, but especially her mother, who can come up with a story, a funny poem or a song at every opportunity. The captivating narration in the book Večerný kóň takes place once upon a time somewhere in the Danish countryside, but it could also take place in Slovakia today.
The book Večerný kóň was published by E.J. Publishing.
The reading room will traditionally be accompanied by the host Monika Perecárová and her musical guest Eniesa.
We will meet on Tuesday, December 10 at 4:00 p.m. in the Artforum bookstore at Námestí Štefana Moysesa 7.
P.S. Dear parents, this children's reading room is suitable for children from 6 to 10 years old, but we are happy to welcome other age groups - after all, nice stories are for everyone. At the same time, we would like to ask you to wait in front of the bookstore as adults and create a place for as many children as possible.
