Dežo Ursiny & Moyzesovo Quartet 2
Deža Ursiny's song concert in editing for string quartet
(2. Moyzes's quartet and 30 years since Dež Ursiny's death. This deserves special noticing. An unusual experience in the form of string arrangements of Ursina's work. In this unusual form we will introduce one of the most original Slovak artists. The first introduction of the 1st part (June 2023 in PKC) had a very positive response, so we decided to continue this music project. Deža Ursiny with a string quartet was born long ago. It was in the spring of 2000 in Pezinok as part of the 1st year of the Déjà Vue event - the memory of Dež Ursiny. The premiere of the 1st part of the comprehensive project Dežo Ursiny & Moyzesovo Quartet was only after several years, and 7.6.2023 in Pezinok. This musical originality has great prerequisites for the emergence of a new valuable form just in connection with a musician great body such as the Moyzes Quartet. Two violins, Viola and Violoncelo. The selected Ursina's songs look like something beautiful in these string adjustments, and these new arrangements give his music another dimension. Deža's songs will stand out even in such new covers, while still remain natural and attractive. The originality of Ursina's music poetics in conjunction with the acoustic manifestation of the Moyzes Quartet offers a truly missing experience. During this concert you will feel the symbiosis of music with the artistic personality of Deža Ursiny and the Moyzes Quartet.
The selection of songs is made of different time periods - for the most part of Ursina's artistic career - which reflect the wide diapazon of his rich and diverse music work. There are songs from the Era of Bigbit, Arthrok, Pop and Musical.
Music Author: Dežo Ursiny

performs: Moyzesovo Quartet
Violin 1. Ján Slávik
