The meetings were suspended and the hugs frozen in the air. It was confinement.
João Paulo Cotrim
project born during the confinement period (2021). The authors, Vilhena in the images and Cotrim in the words, dialogue about the collection that the country went through. The clouds, windows of the atmosphere were the silent witnesses of that time. Faced with the uneasiness that lived and felt, the artists, using the clouds as observers, metaphorics, from the state of the world, began a trip/dialogue that lasted 80 days.
Vilhena using a mobile phone captured an image of a cloud, always different hours of the day that from his image wrote a poem. Sometimes it was Cotrim's poem that provoked Vilhena in search of the cloud.
The work was presented on the internet causing impact, debate and reflection on the moment, where we all met. Due to the enthusiasm around the project, it was fixed in a book edited by ABYSMO. Photography, Video and Poetry, in the SNBA Modern Art Gallery, is an invitation to the visitor/viewer to enter a meditative trip on a time when time had no time.
The exhibition will have two moments:
- Official Inauguration on February 27.
