About event
Outrage and the pressure to exonerate drive a choir, thinking, jubilant, psychologically and politically unraveled, through the hall of the theater in the Delphi - a heavenly kingdom of acute phantasms of the dawning postmodernity piles up from speech acts and singing.
A new heaven is emerging. Under the pressure of multiple crises, fears, blame and responsibilities are projected into a neo-mythological sphere of conspiracy stories, lizard politicians and technocratic visual fantasies. Anything that overwhelms reason and well-being is being outsourced by a growing portion of the population to a cloudy entanglement “somewhere up there.” However: there is also a very real new up: Algorithms, messages, advertising slogans or deepfake campaigns are racing over our heads ever faster and influencing our actions. The abstraction of administrations as the umbrella of our democracies is difficult for individuals to grasp and seems to be taking on a life of its own. And the wealth of the super-rich is beyond all imagination.
An interdisciplinary speech and singing choir will build this heaven in the Delphi theater, condensing this paradox-dissonant double sphere into a physical oratorio - in performative vocal direction and pop-atonal composition by Sir Henry, driven by the divine to diabolical cello playing of the Ukrainian musician Emilia Lomakova, in discursive-ecstatic text rhythms by the director Heiko Michels.

Limited blindness is an association of performative artists. Her theater has been intervening in acute contemporary issues since 2002. Most recently, in July 2025, as part of new border controls, they used a performative illegal ferry across the Oder to Poland (Break on through to the OR side) - with international press coverage.
"The ones up there!" is the first collaboration between Limited Blindness founder and director Heiko Michels and the “Mastermind of Music” (New York Times) of the Volksbühne, Sir Henry.
