About event
The Highest Railway is back! In 2025, their music sounds as if people in 1925 imagined what 1999 would sound like - skyscrapers and flying steam carriages. And you only have to listen to half a “Railway” song and you’ll immediately know why you love these four Berliners so much and missed them so much during their six-year break. The break was long, but it went by quickly from the band's point of view, eventually Corona and a few solo projects intervened. Max Schröder made music with his friend Olli Schulz, Francesco Wilking with the Crucchi Gang and Moritz Krämer with the sad lobsters and the cowardly beauty. Felix Weigt is now a podcaster by profession and actually wanted to give up music completely.
But now it's starting again: A big tour is coming up in autumn 2025 - and did someone say "new music"? Even if it doesn't sound like it yet, 2025 will be more exciting than kissing for Die Höchste Eisenbahn.
For support: With his new, self-titled album, Albrecht Schrader has once again created a piece of music that is looking for its own resonance space. Known for the stylish mix of timeless pop sound and contemporary lyrics, the Hamburg native proves himself once again, not without humor, but certainly without cynicism, as a composer and lyricist with a fine feeling for his time, and a little bit for those before it. It is, in the best sense of the word, unpretentiously pleasant music, if that still exists. And a perfect highlight in the artist's discography to date.
