“Do I return…?” – After hard imprisonment, after more than 500 years, after overthrow, banishment and pestilence, he returns to our bosom. An evening full of wisdom, turbulence and rapture. A paean to life, desire, doubt and all their transience. Rejoicing as high as heaven, saddened to death. Words like a fist in the eye. If it doesn't grab him, he grabs him. Alfons Kujat in his brilliant role as a crook, poet, son of a bitch. Anyone who saw it drank it.
