Why are we looking at each other's phones? Do we consider it a natural part of a partnership or does it get in the way? What do people who share their passwords or send erotic photos to their partner perceive as risky? And how can digital technologies become a tool of violence?
We invite you to the discussion and presentation of the book Digital Intimacy on Monday 4.5. from 18:00 to Košice Artfor on Hlavná ul. 87
One of the authors, Zuzana Sekeráková Búriková, will present the book and the debate will be moderated by Adriana Jesenková.
This book is for those who are interested in what we do with digital technologies in romantic relationships. It questions what couples share in their everyday lives and explores the boundaries where expressions of care can turn into tools of control. He does not give instructions on how we should live, but based on sociological knowledge, he offers space for reflection. In it you will find the results of representative research in Slovakia, samples from interviews with men and women living in long-term relationships, as well as interviews with experts on violence. The authors of the book are Slovak social scientists Zuzana Sekeráková Búriková, Viera Poláková, Veronika Valkovičová.
