About event
Are you looking for a suitable art activity for your children aged 7-11 years? Sign in to the workshop of contemporary art in the Rudolfinum Gallery, which takes place every Tuesday from September 16 to 16 December 2025. Never mind - the minutes is possible later during the course at a reduced price. We look forward to seeing you!
▼ Practical information about the workshop of contemporary art:
✐ to whom is it?
▸ children from 7 to 11 years
400 CZK/semester
✐ How to apply? Vltava
✐ What is our place in the gallery and our relationship to it? What is the relationship of the gallery to its surroundings, what is its place in the city? We find out all this during the workshop of contemporary art. Occasionally we close, dream, immerse ourselves in our inner worlds. But at the same time, we try to realize where we are right now. We also go out - whether to draw, report or interfere sensitively in public space. We develop basic artistic prerequisites (perception of space, drawing in relation to reality, working with colors), but also other soft skills (attention, sensitivity, intuition). We are looking for a balance between craft and experimental.
The workshop is open to all who want to create together. Our joint work does not depend on the faith in the talent of the individual and the effort to chase him. We are much more interested in experiencing and sharing observations from the creative process. The work of this important Czech artist is continuously reflected in the nature of utopian and dystopic worlds acting as a critical commentary on contemporary society.
