About event
Come to the thirteenth meeting of the Discovery College in Trnava with the theme: "Indecision"
We will be happy to see you in the Kubik center, on TUESDAY 16.12.25, on the 1st floor, the meeting lasts 2 hours (with a break for refreshments), admission is FREE 🙂
The course is taught by:
Klára Ščepková - psychologist
Filip Strechay - peer lecturer
What does DISCOVERY COLLEGE actually mean?
It is a modern way of education and "discovery" in the topics of MENTAL HEALTH and WELL-BEING (well-being) focused on YOUNG PEOPLE (15-24), implemented in community conditions.
Its principles follow the recovery academies/schools that are part of modern community mental health services in world. They are a space where all participants come together to talk about mental health topics together to learn together and from each other. The source of mutual learning is personal experience as well as professional expertise. Practical experiential learning is tailored to all participants, therefore each course and each college is unique.
It provides a safe space for sharing, personal vulnerability and discomfort, conversations about important and challenging topics related to mental health. Each participant's opinions and experiences are valued.
"DC is essentially an open classroom. An open classroom where there are guides at the front, but everyone in the room is a teacher in that environment and everyone is a student."
