The discussion will offer a view of the design of postage stamps as a specific phenomenon of graphic design that balances between tradition, functionality and current trends. Marcel Benčík, recent laureate of the National Design Award 2024, and Martin Vančo, director of POFIS – the postal philatelic service, will talk about the meaning of stamp design in the digital age, what are the current approaches to their creation and what might be their future.
