About event
We invite you to discuss the book of philosopher Miroslav Marcelli - "I think, we think, we are" dedicated to the question of the relationship of rationality and intelligence. Mode Marek Debnár
The prominent Slovak philosopher Miroslav Marcelli lectured at the Department of Philosophy of the Faculty of Arts of Comenius University in Bratislava, where he now works as an emeritus professor. He is currently lecturing at the Department of Philosophy of the Faculty of Humanities of the Charles University in Prague. In the latest monograph, the subject of his interest is the problem of rationality in the perspective of philosophical, psychological and semiotic research. It focuses on the issue of thinking in a popular way. The basic question of these examinations is: What does the base of the famous family statue, his thinker do? It focuses on finding an answer to this question - the philosophical approaches that refer to the modern rationalist tradition and, above all, its starting points in Descart's understanding of the intellectual nature of man as things thinking.
