The discussion brings together three books that appeared in 2025 in three different publishing houses: UFO (Egan Jabbarova “Terra Nullius”), NoAge (the series There is a sense) (Evgenia Zakharchuk “Three stories on my wake") and shell (f) (Dinara Rasuleva “Traumagotchi”).
These are texts about what it means for a modern Russian-speaking author to live at the crossroads of cultures, experience trauma and emigration, talk about her body and language - and why it is women’s* voices that set the tone in current prose.
We will also talk about what topics are currently relevant for young authors and what they are taught in creative writing courses.
Books will be available for purchase at the meeting.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone!
