About event
Five high school students decide to visit a special escape room run by their teacher as part of an unusual history lesson. People with different characters enter the scene. They represent the saviors of the emergency period, opponents of the Nazis, fighters against the communist coup, revolutionaries and freedom fighters in 1956, Hungarian priests, politicians and intellectuals from the homeland, as well as from Transylvania, Subcarpathia, and the south. What unites the diverse paths of life? Proven risk-taking in borderline situations. The vast majority of the characters in this selection spoke out against both totalitarian ideologies, Nazism and Communism, and despite their courage, the stories of many of them are still unknown to the wider public. By publishing their portraits, we partially repay the debt to preserve the memory of the periods of unfreedom.
Performance in one act without intermission, in Hungarian with simultaneous translation, length 90 minutes.
