The two dance at night to the rhythm of techno 💃, their bodies interweave with other bodies, as if they were reshaping a person, space, time. During the day, they wake up in a block of flats 🏢 and cover their ears from everyone who wants to impose on them ideas about the "correct" life and a bunch of other shit. 🙉
A little nineties, but not yet - the pandemic is over, one of them fled the war and drugs are just another commodity on the neoliberal market. They refuse to know what they want, loudly defending their right to get lost in the search. How can these two survive in this crisis of life?
P0P2 (personzeropersontoo) is a comedy about a young generation from Eastern Europe 🌍 who, in an era of economic uncertainty and digital nomadism 🧳, tries to understand what "home" means today.
Dives into the absurdities of the housing crisis 🏚, unattainable dreams of ownership and ideals inherited from wild the nineties. 💿 At the same time, it also touches on broader themes - the legacy of totalitarian regimes, the impact of war, and the effects of individualization on today's society.
The main characters are ravers 🪩 - their escape into rave culture and the temporary utopias of the dance floor becomes a way to regain freedom, connection and joy in an uncertain world 💫.
🎭 The production combines documentary realism with satirical fiction and asks the questions:
❓ Can rave dreams offer a different definition of "home"?
❓ Can love, stability and community live in apartment blocks built on the ruins of former utopias?
❓ What kind of future can this generation still dream of?
stroboscope.
