The question of what is real and what is not is also preoccupying Christoph Marthaler these days. Until now, he and his close collaborators could build on the fact that what is not real is not automatically a perfect forgery, but (in the most interesting case) surreality. But the times are now pale blue and the loudest undertones muted. At the latest, it is necessary to have a good eye and recognize what is essential, and to have the strength to look reality in the face. And Marthaler and his team have exact ideas of how it could work! It is planned to touch reality with open results as a happening in a ruined time. Those who cannot imagine anything below that belong to the ideal circle of visitors! As Emil M. Cioran, a toucher of reality from the famous Bucharest school, already said: "At the last judgment, only tears will be placed on the scales."

Presented in German (no subtitles).
