About event
The Ján Palárik Theater (DJP) in Trnava will commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Slovak National Uprising (SNP) and the 35th anniversary of the Gentle Revolution through the Freedom Theater Festival. The four-day festival begins on November 13 and culminates on Saturday, November 16 with the Night of Theaters.
The festival is supposed to be a celebration of the freedoms we have today thanks to the courage of those who fought for them. We do not want to forget that even in our country there were periods when basic freedoms and democratic principles were suppressed. The message of our event is the knowledge that freedom is not a matter of course and we must take care of it.
