Theater Potoň was established in 2000. It is profiled as a theater that favors author's work, but it does not resist the classic it brings in an unconventional interpretation. The core of the theater consists of director Iveta Ditte Jurčová and dramaturg and author Michal Ditte. Their common productions combine a sense of metaphor and poetry, while not missing exaggeration, humor, often exaggeration or cartoon. The creators focus on finding interesting and controversial social themes, which are preceded by field research and collection of authentic material. Several productions were successfully presented at domestic and foreign festivals. In addition to the creation of productions, the progressive forms of audience and professional artists have space in the theater. In an attractive and interactive way, it seeks to bring art to art in general and the theater separately. In addition to the education of youth, the Theater Potoň is also preparing projects for experienced theater professionals in the form of workshops on various topics (movement, working with voice, writing games). Intensive work on these projects has been systematized and resulted in the establishment of the Center of Arts and Creativity, which has been operating at the Pottoň Theater since 2008. Public resources were financially supported by the Art Support Fund.
