Now Breathe and Fly Theater

ALL WE WANTED WAS TO FIND A NEW WAY
In a space (probably a theater) several characters: alive, long dead, never existed. They were looking for something, longing for something, fighting for something... Under the supervision (perhaps of nurses), they tell their lives. The most important thing happens between them.
The production is inspired by the diaries of Kurdish revolutionaries, the thoughts of Antonin Artaud, the paintings of Konstantin Kolobov, the story of Prince Genji's grandson, real events of everyday and extraordinary days.

BREATH AND FLY THEATER NOW
Artistic association for deepening understanding of the world through theater, performative actions and events on the border between theater and activism. "Now breathe and fly" has been operating as an independent theater company for more than 15 years. The productions touch on political topics, but the center of interest remains the situation of people standing outside of politics, generally the human situation of a person who longs for a fulfilled life. We want to talk mainly about people who are not usually talked about in the media, but without whom the political environment loses its contours. Their destinies carry the strength and values of humanity, which have a supra-regional and timeless validity. The inspiration for the ensemble's work is traveling and meeting people - with their lives, stories, customs, songs. The ensemble performs in the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Ukraine. We also organize workshops focused on authentic storytelling and stage presence, working with documentary materials and personal stories.
In April 2024, the group organized a theater trip to Ukraine "Festival of Mutuality", Czech-Ukrainian theater festivals in Rivne, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, Kyiv and Ivano-Frankivsk
