Divadlo v Zasekáváku - Romské pohádky

Little Red Riding Hood, Sleeping Beauty, Bajaja... Who doesn't know at least one Czech fairy tale. But how many Romani fairy tales do you know? They are different in many ways, but they have adventure, humor and, above all, a good ending in common.
Our Roma fairy tales combine short funny stories called pherasuňi paramisi and heroic fairy tales viteziko paramisi. The theatrical performance also includes traditional Romani songs, which we play and sing live.
Swine's Bride tells the story of a Romani who, thanks to his cleverness, married the most beautiful bride far and wide, while his neighbor was sharp. The main character in the fairy tale About Preparúd is the "greatest of all wizards", but young Verunka grows up to be him. Roma's cunning puzzle will help to free her from prison. A typical example of a heroic narrative is the tale of How Rom lived with the witch's daughter, and the story concludes with a story about what Rom dreamed and how his dream suddenly came true.
Roman melodies are rhythmic and catchy. Anyone who wants to can sing simple Roma songs with us - the most skilled can easily remember and learn them. Traditional Roma melodies will be heard, for example, Andro verdan, Duj duj or Odi kaľi mačkica.
In a non-violent way, during the performance, we give the children's audience basic information about Roma culture, their language and music. But don't worry, it's not boring! Of course, we adapt everything to the age of the audience, the narration looks different for four-year-olds, different for schoolchildren.
