About event
We say that we are tolerant, perceptive, empathetic, kind, etc., but when it is time to show it, we are lost in inaction, or overlooked, or worse, rejected. There is no better way to try to transcend your bubble than to show true empathy to someone we don't understand and whose "world" is foreign to us.
"In a way, it also means putting down your SELF. Only people who are sure of themselves enough to not be afraid of getting lost in the other person's world, no matter how strange or bizarre it turns out to be... (Carl Rogers, 2014)".
Lásky SHOCK is my first author's performance. It can turn out either way, but I know that it allowed me to rediscover the fullness of the experience and the infinite variations of perception, both for the actors and for me. It reflects the way the actors of the Passage Theater perceive the world, how they perceive themselves, their feelings, their bodies, their lives. Yes, they also feel sexy, pissed off, funny, misunderstood, or invisible, even if, paradoxically, they are heard the most on the street. (Director Kristína Chmelíková)
