Djâmen at Teatro Munganga (Brazilian Music)

Djâmen, Latin Grammy winner, composer, and instrumentalist, presents an original concert that explores the sounds of Afro-Brazilian music, intertwining elements of jazz and experimental music. In a performance that moves between tradition and innovation, Djâmen takes the audience on a musical journey marked by the virtuosity of the guitar and the profound power of the spiritual songs of the Black diaspora.

The show reveals not only the rich rhythmic and melodic influences that shape his work but also the artist’s creative process in building his unique musical identity.

The performance unfolds like a mosaic of sensations, exploring the contrasts between the rhythmic density of Afro-Brazilian percussion and the boundless freedom of jazz. Harmonies expand, rhythms intertwine, and the sonic space transforms into a field open to experimentation.

Djâmen leads this concert not just as a performer but as a storyteller, weaving narratives through music. A show designed to provoke reflection on cultural heritage, identity, and the continuous reinvention of musical language.
