Djessy Swan - EP What Souls Are Made Of - release concert
Djessy Swan's cinematic music sings around your heart, warms it, and takes you on a journey through a unique universe of music.
A narrative thread about the journey to authenticity is woven throughout the concert. We are not alone on the road: nature travels with us, as we hear the rustling of the leaves, the rustling of the wind and the open sky above us in the notes played on stage.
This release concert is performed with a large ensemble, consisting of both classical and modern elements.

About the artist:
Djessy Swan is an artist who works as a vocalist, violinist , composer, lyricist and producer creates a poetic and colorful atmosphere. Her debut EP What Souls Are Made Of is out now and will be flying out into the world, having been working on it for the past few years, mainly during her time at Berklee College of Music, where she graduated with distinction.
These personal songs have the power to reach your heart from Djessy Swan's heart and warm it. Wherever she gets her inspiration from, with influences from pop, classical, jazz and world music, she has a wide palette of warm colors to envelop you.
The music from her upcoming EP What Souls Are Made Ofhas a strong connection to nature, as well as our own human nature, and welcomes the listener to journey along a path of growth, to become the most authentic version of yourself.
Her musical inspirations are contemporary artists such as Sufjan Stevens, Laura Mvula, Jacob Collier, Björk, but also composers such as Debussy and Piazzolla, painters of stories through their music.
After graduating with distinction from Berklee College in Music and cum laude from Codarts University of the Arts, she has built up broad experience both as an artist and as a session musician. She has appeared on prestigious stages such as North Sea Jazz, Het Concertgebouw and Palau de Les Arts, and played and recorded with the Latin Grammy-nominated tango ensemble OTRA. She also played the violin in projects with, among others, Banda Magda, members of Snarky Puppy and Becca Stevens.
As a maker, she hopes to contribute to a world in which we listen to each other, ourselves and all residents of this planet with more curiosity, wonder and sincerity.
