About event
🪽 DOGMA, the fourth original film by screenwriter and director Kevin Smith, caused controversy even before its release in cinemas – almost all Christian churches, movements and communities protested against its distribution. And that was before any of the protesters saw him.
The cult fantasy comedy celebrates 25 years and you will be able to enjoy it in 4K resolution at BE2CAN. If you don't know this brave biblical story with the great Matt Damon and Ben Affleck yet - or you want to be reminded of it - don't hesitate! 🎬
🎤 Don't miss the special screening with a short lecture introduction by the film theorist Juraj Malíček, who is dedicated to the history of aesthetic thinking, the theory of popular culture, interpretation and the history of film. The screening will be followed by a discussion in which Malíček will talk with theologian Daniel Pastirčák about the religious dimension of Dogma.
