About event
🎉 We’re thrilled to celebrate the 6th birthday of our English-friendly Movie Barf Monday film night with a party and special screening of '90s cult comedy DOGMA in the one and only Edison Filmhub.
😇 DOGMA is a satirical fantasy comedy that follows two fallen angels, Bartleby (Ben Affleck) and Loki (Matt Damon), who discover a loophole that would allow them to return to Heaven, which would inadvertently undo the creation of the universe. A woman named Bethany, who is struggling with her faith, is tasked with stopping them before their plan succeeds. Along the way, she is joined by various characters, including a muse, a seraphim, and a group of unlikely allies, all as they battle against the forces of heaven and hell. Directed by Kevin Smith, the film combines dark humor, theological questions, and absurdity to explore topics of faith, redemption, and religious mythology. After 25 years off the market, DOGMA serves to be a cult classic with fans, and this new 4K remaster also includes exclusive bonus content only available in theatres.
✨ The star-studded cast also includes Linda Fiorentino, Alan Rickman, Chris Rock, Salma Hayek, Jason Mewes, Kevin Smith, Jason Lee and more!
🎶 The evening will be hosted by Ryan Keating aka Movie Barf and make sure you stay for the afterparty, AND TATTOOS! Bring cash! Full programme to be announced soon!
