Smik's work is based on the artistic processing of diverse material such as stoneware, porcelain and glass, which converts diverse technological processes into ceramic sculptures: despite their complexity, they do not deny the traditional role of ceramics. In addition to ceramics, he is devoted to the creation of glass objects in which it uses fusing (melting glass) and the production of stained glass. Peter Smik exhibits at home and abroad. His works are represented in public and private collections in Slovakia, Hungary, France, Germany, Switzerland, Poland and the Czech Republic. He is the founder of the civic association Annogallery, which in addition to its own exhibition space operates the unique studio of ceramics in Hôrka near Poprad and Renovce near Sobrance.
