About event
We cordially invite you to the doctoral concert of our conductor Petra Torkošová! 37 by Sergei Rachmaninov. The author was inspired by the liturgical singing of Orthodox worship. The soloists, together with the choir Technik STU, will create a unique atmosphere. In one of the parts, they even stand around the audience to intensify the perception of penetrating music. The work appears exceptionally in the integrity at the concerts (last 15 years ago in Slovakia). Its interpretation requires a large cast and contains several passages in which the singers are divided into twelve voice groups. The soloists of the evening will be Pavol Mucha (tenor) and Elena Shatokhina (ALT), recites Martin Šafárik.
All-year-old waking is based on the importance of texts-repentance, praise, deep respect, all Rachmanin's in a magical-mysterious musical whole. The work was created during the 1st World War II. The main mission of its introduction is faith in the more friendly and better world and faith in the power of collective energy. This will also be proved by choirs, as members of Slovakia, as well as Russia, Ukraine, Serbia, Austria, Germany and the Netherlands, singing this with their colorful national composition.
