About event

As part of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (November 25th), we present the award-winning documentary "WO/MEN" by Kristine Nrecaj and Birthe Templin.
The film highlights the stories of six Burrneshas - women in Albania who have decided to take on the role of men in order to circumvent patriarchal structures, escape attacks and live their freedom. The film provides intimate insights into their life decisions and talks about freedom, oppression and the desire to decide for themselves how they live.
The event is a cooperation between StoP - Districts without Partner Violence and the Wilhelm Liebknecht / Namik Kemal Center Library.
