About event
Come have fun and support the homeless at the same time. On Sunday, December 8, from 2:00 p.m., they will play in Bratislava's Nocľahárna sv. Vincent de Paul benefit concerts of FVLCRVM and bands Bad Karma Boy and Muzička. Entry to the event is free, but you can help homeless people by bringing warm clothes, non-perishable food, or functional mobile phones in addition to your presence. You can also support them by participating in the "Adopt a bed" collection or by buying Depaul merch right on the spot. The charity event Doma dobre is organized this year by the Pohoda festival and the non-profit organization Depaul Slovensko. It will be moderated by Martin Staňo and will take place in the St. Vincent de Paul at Ivanská cesta 32 in Bratislava.
In addition to the musical program, there will also be a program for the little ones, in which a children's corner will be available, and the traveling theater Veteš has prepared a theatrical production of The Awakening for children. You will be able to see an exhibition of "Wishes" works by clients of the St. Shelter. Vincent and an interesting workshop and discussion will also be prepared. Depaul Slovensko volunteers will cook a tasty Christmas cabbage soup, which you can buy on the spot for a voluntary contribution.
The aim of the event is to help people who have lost their homes, to spread awareness and draw society's attention to the real problems of homeless people. for whom winter is a critical period. At the same time, the Doma dobre event supports the challenge "Adopt a bed", which is supported by Depaul Slovakia.

🛏️ "Adopt bed"
Every year, more than two thousand people in need turn to the facilities of the organization Depaul Slovensko. They are provided with hot food, clothing, social counseling, bed security and most importantly – a helping hand and acceptance from Depaul staff. However, winter is financially very demanding for the Depaul organization. By symbolically "Adopting a bed" in the form of a regular or one-time donation, supporters will help the Depaul organization to be a support for everyone who turns to them. Homeless people are like us. Many have lost a job, a loved one or are suffering from a serious illness. Depaul Slovakia is a non-profit organization that tries to help all those left on the street. Because the street is not and cannot be a home for anyone.

You can also use public transport - when traveling by bus 61 towards the airport, get off at the Pri letisku stop, and from there the navigation boards will lead you to Depaul on foot. Route 163 will take you from Račianske mýto to Za Mokráňom stop at 1:25 p.m. (this is a special route that is not marked in the chart).

All this for 1,850 people in need who turned to the organization's social services. Over the 18 years of its activity, the Depaul Slovakia organization has provided more than 1 million overnight stays and meals.
The services provided by the organization include accommodation, food, hygiene, clothing, basic treatment, social counseling, search support housing and integration. The Depaul Slovakia team operates throughout Bratislava - from a dormitory on the outskirts of the city, through shelters for the sick, an infirmary and a daily personal hygiene center to field work in the city districts of Lamač, Dúbravka, Karlova Ves and Devínska Nová Ves. Clients, homeless people, are involved in community organizing, which is an important pillar for integration and assistance in many important areas of their lives.
