"The picture does not have to record what I see. Not even what I imagine. It's an open window, somewhere where I get to know it, where I dare to see - how far I go in the depth of my reflection?
Come to discover “wonders”, which are created in the creative process of the artist and social architect Dominika Belanská, at the exhibition in the Gallery of Jabloň in Prievidza.
The opening of the exhibition takes place on July 17 at 17.00 and is also the opening event of the Y2K Slovakia Loopfest festival, the first international live looping festival in Slovakia, which takes place in Prievidza from 18 to 20 July 2025. ( www.loopfest.sk
We will connect music art with art and the first music loops on the opening! The paintings of Dominika Belanská will interpret Adam Borak and Handpane Natália Mazániková. And who will sit behind the piano? This is a surprise so far! The sounds of various tools will then be connected by Dominika Belanská with her voice and using Live Looping into a new music composition - as unpredictable as her paintings.

About the author
Mgr. Art. Dominika Belanská (1988) grew up in Prievidza, entered the Piarist Grammar School and graduated from the Art Department of the Elementary Art School Ľ. Stanček under the leadership of Emílie Jakubisová and dance field led by Eva Matiašková. She continued her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava at the Department of Architectural Creation, where she graduated from her master's studies. In architectural practice, she specialized in the participation and development of public spaces and community relations - in Slovakia and abroad it connects people with the places where they live. Since his return to Prievidza in 2020, he has been involved in the restoration of the environment and the cultural mycelium in Upper Nitra and the author's work in various media. The dance-ecological project 'River in us' leads to respect and protect water, in the initiative 'New housing estate' approaches a rare art in the Old Housing. Through the Y2K Slovakia festival Loopfest connects the local and international music scene. In the project 'Generation Together' connects people of different ages within the European capital Trenčín 2026. In addition to painting he writes poetry and songs, concerts and currently records his debut music album honey
