About event
The main event of this season is definitely the premiere of Don Quixote for the Ballet Ensemble of the Brno National Theater. We are preparing this living classic in cooperation with the emeritus star of the Paris opera Ballet José Carlos Martínez, who is currently the artistic director of this leading world scene. José Carlos Martínez created a production full of Hispanic temperament, colors, atmosphere and typical gestures.
The choreography combines elegant ballet technology with passionate Spanish dances, and the unforgettable atmosphere is illustrated by colorful costumes and the scene inspired by the Castile-La Mancha, which is told by the famous novel Miguel de Cervantes. This ballet is not only a visual and musical experience, but also a story about finding ideals and true love that will appeal to viewers of all ages.
The premiere can not do without star guests, in the lead roles of Kitri and Basil will perform Anna Tsygankova and Giorgi Petkishvili of the Dutch National Ballet. Since April 25 at the Janáček Theater.
