About event
Ballet NDB presents the new classic title Don Quixote in the modern concept of choreographer José Martínez, artistic director of the Parisian Ballet. Brno again offers the world's leading production. Don Quixote is a dazzling ballet spectacle full of Spanish temperament, brilliant costumes and virtuoso dance numbers. But do not expect a story of a crazy knight, the ballet libretto is built on the love of Kitri and Basil, who resist unfavorable fate. This timeless story of love, fantasy and adventure will enchant viewers of all ages. In three acts you will see the way of Don Quixote from his library to the famous wedding scene with the iconic passport de deux.
Martinez's version perfectly combines classic ballet with Spanish dance elements and brings a fresh view of this favorite ballet piece.
