On Tuesday, December 31, 2024, Don Tango organizes New Year's Eve/NY Eve from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. in the Oranjekerk in Amsterdam. The door is open from 7pm. The salon starts at 8pm. Public transport rides that are still running at 8 p.m. will simply end the ride.
The DJ is El Zorro Gris (Philip Bodenstaff, photo by Rob Nuijten) and admission is €22.
< br/>Register via the Tango Calendar, because full is full. After 9 p.m., public transport is at a standstill and does not start running again until 1:30 a.m.
The Oranjekerk is decorated in Don Tango style with tables with tablecloths, flowers, tango photos and table lamps. You will not recognize the Oranjekerk.
• There is a free large buffet with gourd soup, nasi with side dishes (soup and nasi are both vegan), vegetables, oliebollen, cheeses, baguette and pate. The pate is the only dish that is not vegetarian.
• There is a free raffle (sorteo).
• There is a tanda where the women ask the men.
• At 23:55 you will be offered a glass of BUBBLES, also non-alcoholic!
FREE PARKING
Paid parking is available around the Oranjekerk itself. But in the entire area under the Amstel Canal there is FREE parking around Churchill-Laan. You then cross the Amstel Canal on foot via the Gerard Revebrug (Maasstraat) or via the Han van Zomerenbrug (Waalstraat). After crossing you are after resp. Arrived 600 and 800 meters at the Oranjekerk.

• The availability of four paid parking garages within walking distance of the Oranjekerk.
CHEAP PARKING
If If you come by car, the Oranjekerk is easily accessible via metro and tram. Park your car for just €6 in one of the ten Amsterdam P+R garages. You then arrive at the Oranjekerk by metro 52 or tram 24.
To be entitled to the cheap €6 fare, you must travel back to the P+R garage by public transport. You must pay with a chip card, so not with your debit card.

P+R ADVICE: NOORD!!
Park & Ride NOORD is the most convenient P+R garage with a short walking distance to the metro. From the A10 take exit S116. The address of this P+R garage is: Nieuwe Leeuwarderweg 25, 1022 BP, Amsterdam.
Then take metro 52 (North/South line) from 'Noord' to 'De Pijp', 5 stops , 9 minutes. Then it is a 6-minute walk to the Oranjekerk.
BY TRAIN
If you come by train, go to one of these two NS stations:
• Central Station . Metro 52 will take you to De Pijp Metro Station, just a 6-minute walk from the Oranjekerk. • Muiderpoort Station. There you take tram 3. It stops practically in front of the Oranjekerk: just a one-minute walk.
