What does it mean to ‘be the change we wish to see in this world’ when it comes to our workplaces? How to design environments that nurture our better nature? Let's explore how the PGI uses an asset-based approach, sociocratic governance, and lean processes to create trust, safety, and virtuous cycles across its team spanning 23 countries.

Discover how to apply radical practices in your own work environments, drawing on insights from silent meetings, long hiring processes, "no shit work" policies, rest weeks, self-defined pay rates, and much more. After this 3hr workshop, there will be time for up to 4 participants to consecutively engage in 15 minute 1-on-1 consultations with Dr. Maclurcan, to explore how to apply the learnings to each participant’s specific context. After that we can have a non-formal beer together in the beautiful space of Skleněná louka.

The workshop is loosely complemented also by a lecture on the 04.11. in Kumst:

Donnie is a Co-founder and a Director of Strategy at the Post Growth Institute and within the post-growth space he's somewhat of a legend - he has authored 4 books, has worked in 37 countries (including Egypt, Kenya, Fiji, Thailand and South Korea), helping over 500 not-for-profit projects start, scale and sustain their work. He's been designing frameworks, methodologies and experiences for creative collaboration for ecological transitions, including the Offers and Needs Market, Free Money Day, the Post Growth Alliance, the (En)Rich List, The Not for Profit Way training, Project Australia, and the globally-used #postgrowth hashtag.

He is an affiliate professor of economics at Southern Oregon University and adjunct professor with the Institute for Sustainable Futures at the University of Technology, Sydney. Donnie initially trained and worked as an exercise physiologist, before completing his PhD assessing nanotechnology’s global implications. He presently holds the Guinness World Record for the fastest journey on foot across Australia and is working on his fourth book: "How on Earth: Our Future is Not For Profit",
