75 years "Klaus Mann to memory"

The last volume of the German -speaking exile publisher Querido Amsterdam was and is dedicated to Klaus Mann. His sister Erika - who neither appears as an author nor is the imprint - brought the band on the way. The foreword - a laudation is like - comes from father Thomas Mann. It is interesting that Erika Mann, who gave himself irreconcilable to people who have served the Nazi regime, also included the poet Gottfried Benn. At the beginning of the Nazi rule, Benn made common with their ideology and in this regard with his former admirer Klaus Mann fought a sometimes public dispute. Benn turned away from this ideology during the dictatorship and Klaus Mann admitted an early clairvoyance in relation to the assessment of the Nazi regime.

The work appeared in 1950 - one year after the author's death in Cannes.

A note: In 2003 the Hamburg men's swarm publishing house put on the band. The afterword wrote Dr. Fredric Kroll.
