Dorota is an established brand in the Slovak songwriting industry. Her music is hard to define. Is it retro - pop, heavy - chanson, or poetic - punk? It's piano music. Captivating, with strong suggestive author's texts that Dorota will shout right in your face. Dorota is not only a singer - she is a songwriter, author, pianist, composer, lyricist.
Dorota is joined by Marián Slávka and Filip Hittrich (both from the band Talent transport) and most recently guitarist and vocalist Giorgio Turcani. The band is not her "accompaniment". It is a balanced group of musicians with a stomping rhythm. Together, they form a strong unit that gives itself to the audience in a breathtaking way.
Songs such as Tabak, Bratislava, Havran, Kathmandu, Viem or the latest Slovak folk crisis will get you. Dorothy's smoky jazz voice will be remembered by everyone as she sings with conviction and urgency. It's not background music for sandwiches. It's an experience.
