The current album of guitarist David Dorůžka, pianist Piotra Wylezol, double bassist Michal Baran and drummer Michal Miskiewicz When the Child Was and Child was filmed in Warsaw in September 2024. which Dorůžka and Wylezol filmed with American drummer Jeff Ballard. However, compared to the electric rock sound of the previous album, musicians are now returning to almost purely acoustic sound and partly to inspire the jazz tradition. In addition to this, however, there are also responses to Slavic and other folk music, and the CD also contains the composition of the American singer, composer and multi -instrumentalist Sufjan Stevens. Dorůžka, Wyleżoł, Barański and Miśkiewicz met for the first time in this line -up, but all four musicians have many years of friendship and common rich experience from international stages. He worked in Piotra Wylezola Dorůžka fifteen years ago and appeared with her at the Festival Jazzbaltica or in South Bank Center in London. Michal Barankski has performed on Dorůžk's album Silently Dawning as early as 2007 and in addition to the joint appearance with this program also played together alongside the Polish singer Aga Zaryan. In this ensemble Dorůžka, he also performed with Michal Miskiewicz as a guest drummer for the first time. Compared to the Andromeda’s Mystery album, which was filmed in the pandemic period, the new album carries an optimistic touch and the song straightforwardness and lyrical melodicity. The title of the album refers to the legendary film Wings of Desire by Wim Wenders, who was also one of the inspirational sources to create an album.
