DOSTO speelt: Roze Illusie

Emile comes from a wealthy family in Brussels. If Emile comes out one day before that he is homosexual, his mother gives him the choice. Whether he gets married neatly with a woman and does not have to worry financially for his life, or he lives his life as he is planning and he can leave. He opts for the latter and builds up a new life in London. On a business trip in Amsterdam he meets Dave in an Amsterdam pub. The spark immediately skips and after a while Emile decides to burn all the ships in London behind him and live with Dave. That is disappointing on all sides. It is not easy for Emile to find a job in the Netherlands and from Dave's salary as a street maker it is difficult to make ends meet. Yet Emile does his best. Emile carefully gets a little contact with his mother again. She continues to live in her own fantasy world and completely ignores his homosexuality. How will the relationship last with a difficult temperamental Emile that ended up in another world?

The theater image alternates a simple apartment of Dave in Amsterdam and the living room of the Dubois family in the chic district Watermael-Bosvoorne in Brussels.
