DRAMACHINE (Athens, GR)
Athenian synthpunk darkpop trio. Their sound is a collage of raw analog electronics, fast beats, mesmerizing addictive melodies and lyrics that destroy angst, despair and today's apocalypse. The songs float on the line between melancholy and mania, and the live performances are a harmony of tension and release: urgent, theatrical, unrestrained. Described as "gritty, reckless punk with a bit of synth pop," the music is brought to you by a trio of Greek mortals struggling to survive in a world of snake-eating bats, ex-boyfriends, extreme weather, a cult of self-improvement, and low wages.
