We will warm you up to the opening of the exhibition Elizabeth Hrnčiarová: Dreams of Suburbia in Ponděli 7. 7. 2025 at 18:00. The exhibition is a tile from the projects selected from the contented calls of the postpost Gallery and will run until September 19. 2025. City in sleep. City - country. Calm and quiet. Cooling after a hot summer day and slowly breathing after shouting everyday clashes of bodies, machines, tension and layering content seeking to ensure the necessary tasks and needs. The city, which turns into a new entity - bold and dangerous, becomes different, like imagination under the influence of darkness or exhaustion. The city as a place we can remember from a few decades ago, offline or from trips there, where there are still moments, creatures and stories, whose identity is often hidden from the critical reality of the present.
Alžbeta Hrnčiarová is a graduate of an open studio of painting at the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica. In his painting approach, he focuses on the depiction of landscape or urban environments as physical and mental spaces, which she works as the venues of the redefinations of imagination, but it also represents memory and time places for it. At their edges, in clashes or moments, as short sequences of the film, they then become images of problematic processes and toxic relationships, as well as home and space -time of interculture interactions and empathy. The works of Elizabeth Hrnčiarová were part of the exhibition ME Without Your Fluid Fields (Jula Binder Gallery, 2025) or Sapere Aude/Dare to see (Central Slovak Gallery in Banská Bystrica, 2024). 7. - 19. 9. 2025
